Comment: After graduating from MSU in '67 I worked in Detroit, living in the inner city. I left Detroit in ’71, hitchhiked across Canada to Vancouver Island then down to San Diego. From there I rode a motorcycle across country to Maine and settled here in ’72. Aside from a brief foray back to California, I’ve been here ever since. I worked in counseling, advertising, at a theatre, at a consulting firm and ran a pottery business for 8 years. I married Louise Gephart in ’81 and we have two wonderful children, Abi and Chris, both living in Brooklyn, NY. Abi as of this writing is in grad school; Chris works for Warwick, a high-end bass guitar company as an artist representative.

I’ve been working at Bowdoin College (think Albion on steroids) since 1990, currently manager of Data Systems. I plan to retire in 2014 or ‘15. We live on 27 acres of land with a stream running through it. I love Maine (although as I write this it’s 9 degrees).

I recently returned to my love of filmmaking and shot and produced ‘Goranson Farm: An Uncertain Harvest’ about an organic farm near where we live. It’s met with some success, being selected for the Camden International Film Festival and shown on public television in Maine. Clips are at the website goransonfarmfilm.org.

Worked my way through U of M playing drums and teaching music. Graduated from U of M (3 times) then taught and edited publications until becoming ad manager for Comerica and NBD. Ended my career as Los Angeles office manager for Campbell-Ewald Advertising.  Lots of fun...but I miss many of my friends at "the high."  Hope to see you at the reunion.
