Well, it came and went - that fast. Just shy of 100 classmates and guests attended the weekend's events. Friday night at Fishbones under the stars kicked off the weekend, with many of us looking at name tags to see who we were talking to.
Saturdays tour of The High gave us a good appreciation of the changes and improvements made in recent years. Seeing the new pool was breathtaking. Visiting the old pool room, now covered by the student commons, brought back memories. Looking for the original band room turned out to be a challenge.
Saturday night at the Country Club of Detroit, sponsored by George Short, was a great venue. We thought the hearty hors d'oeuvres was the strolling dinner - but, wait, dinner was served in the next room. Lots of memorabilia was scattered about the room, including the lists, sadly, In Memoriam and Missing Persons classmates.
Sunday brunch at the Village Grill for those still hungry ended the weekend while new, and continuing friendships were cemented. Many pictures were taken, and when we figure out who's who from what schools, we'll post them on our website. You can also post yours at this link. https://gphs1963.myevent.com/3/gallery.htm
So TTFN until we meet again.
