Almost missed out on the 50 year celebrating...an out of date email address kept all info away! We've just arrived home from a month's stay on OZ where our daughter and her family live...to a momentous phone call from a special friend from grade school asking if we'd be attending the reunion. Oh my....attending we are...bring on that 12 hour road trip X2!! The 60's were a special time in my life - a learning and discovery time, happy, too....as are "our" sixties now! I'm an ex registered dietitian, mom, current homemaker, and a 25 year volunteer at the Brandywine river museum in Chadds Ford, PA, home to many Wyeth family paintings. My 25 years there have been a joyous time as I've created literally thousands of Brandywine Christmas "Critter" creations made out of all things natural, and are sold at a special sale and in the gift shop there during the holidays. Things like seeds and pods, sticks and stumps, tell me what they can 'become' and I listen, creating a 'critter' that brings a smile to my face and hopefully to others too. A number of my larger creations are on display each year amidst all the trimmings as the museum decorates for the holiday season. My husband of 42 years, Bob, continues to have a financial services practice which he loves. His schedule is flexible enough for us to travel to see our son and daughter in California and Australia, respectively. Our son, Russell, just defended and COMPLETED a 7 year quest for his PhD inCommunication Policy from the U.of S. CA in LA....YAY!!!!...and is teaching courses there in the Annenberg School of Communication as he searches for a permanent position in academia. Our daughter, Gweneth, is a landscape architect who with her husband a 3 sons [1,4 &6] make their home in Canberra, AU, in the Australian Capital Territory. Her husband, Andrew, switched careers....from an economics professor to a twice elected Federal Member of the Australian Parliament, representing the Labor Party. Yes, if our travel to OZ once or twice a year to squeeze those grandbabies doesn't kill us, it will make us stronger and keep us young, right? Smiles to all!
