Life is good, and I certainly count my blessings.  I've been happily married to Cindy for 37 years, and have been able to maintain our residence in Grosse Pointe.  We have two wonderful daughters, Christine (33) and Michelle (29).  After working for Parke Davis, and subsequently, King Pharmaceuticals for 28 years, I was financially able to retire at the young age of 55.  (The drug business was good to me:})) The past 13 years of my retirement have seemed to fly by.  Five of those years were spent as a trustee on the Grosse Pointe Board of Ed., during which I'm proud to say we created a community supported capital bond for major projects that have come to fruition.  Most notable for our high school are a new science building, and a new, yes new, 12 lane swimming pool complex.  You must see these when you return to GP, hopefully for our 50th year reunion.

Because of Michigan's financial woes, the Grosse Pointe Foundation for Public Education, (of which I was a trustee) was created to financially support the district's goals and objectives.  We have had much success since our inception in 2006 due to the support of the parents, community and alumni.  Check out our new website at GPFPE.org.

With my wife retiring as a special ed. teacher in the Utica school district, we've been able to do a fair amount of traveling, including visits to our daughters who live in Washington D.C., and Melbourne, Australia.  Our daughter Christine and son-in-law Andrew promoted us to grandparent status for the first time to Genevieve in June '13.

Living near the lake, we are boaters, and also intersperse our enjoyment(?) by belonging to Gowanie Golf Club.  In recent years we have passed winter months renting in Bonita Springs, FL., and finally took the plunge and bought a condo in the Highland Woods community.

Fortunately, we've been able to smell the roses along the way-hope all my classmates are doing well, also.  Hope to see you this fall for our 50th.

Adrianne (Wendy) Slaymaker (Einfeldt)

Marital status: Divorced
Children: 2
Occupation: Assoc. Professor of Accounting
Comment: In 2004 I tried retirement for a year at my newly constructed home on Lake MI.  The following year I decided to give "professing" another few years and joined the faculty of Metropolitan State University in Minneapolis MN.  At the time both of my children & families were living in the area so it seemed pretty perfect.  Since then, one has moved to Madison WI, the other may be doing consulting work for GM at the Renn Cen.  Nothing is static over tIme!!!
