This picture is from September 2009.  I lived in Harper Woods for a few years, then back to Grosse Pointe, then to California for a year, then back to Michigan.  My ex and I bought a house in Detroit over by Saratoga Hospital in 1978, where he lived for 6 months and I lived for 25 years!  In 1997 I became disable with what used to be called the "Yuppie Flu"--Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia.  Then in 2005 it was discovered that I also had late state Lyme's Disease.  It was time to move out of Detroit.  In 2003, I moved in with my mother back into my childhood home, and took care of her until she passed away in 2006. Then there were a couple other moves until I ended up in Warren because my brother became ill, and that's where he lived.  I was in Chesterfield Township (one of the moves) because my daughter lived "up there," but I couldn't physically keep driving back and forth to help my brother.  So I found a little house in Warren that was in foreclosure (I still feel badly about that) that wasn't too far from my brother and bought it in 2009.  The year went okay, then, unfortunately, I became sicker.  The next year was the same. This year I seem to be doing better and have a better outlook for myself and my rescue cat, Sophie!  I have wanted to go back to school at Macomb County Community College, but my illness keeps beating me back.  I'm not dead yet, so I still have hopes!  I started drinking in high school and had made quite a career out of it.  However, I finally quit in 1984 and have now magically accumulated over 27 years of sobriety! Good going, girl!!
